Other Areas of Expertise
As you can see, professional advancement and certification are very important at Blue Ridge Home Health Services. Every nurse seeks certification as Rehabilitation Nurses. In addition, they are required to pursue at least one other certification of their choice.

Our pediatric nurses must achieve certification as Developmental Disabilities Nurses in addition to Rehabilitation nursing. They then may also pursue certification in the pediatric field.

In addition to the above qualifications for our professional nurses, other specialty areas of certification are encouraged. The following areas are especially important for home health nurses:

  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)
  • Wound and Ostomy Care Nurse (WOCN)
  • Certified Infusion Nurse (CRNI)

Our agency supports our nurses’ efforts to advance their practice. The cost of specialization courses and examination fees are paid for by the agency. We are working to provide a comprehensive library of textbook, journal, and other reference materials to assist our nurses in their professional advancement. In doing so, we will be able to provide highly skilled and comprehensive services to our home care clients.
