Blue Ridge Residential Services, LLC is a privately owned and operated agency that provides residential and other support services for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. Blue Ridge is licensed by the Virginia Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse Services and has a Medicaid participation agreement with the Department of Medical Assistance Services. The main source of funding for services is the MR and DD Waiver program. Other funding is provided under the Comprehensive Services Act and Discharge Assistance Project. Services are also provided on a private pay basis.

Requests for services come from a variety of sources throughout the state: Self-Advocates; the Family of an individual in need of assistance; Advocacy Groups; Community Service Boards; Social Service and Healthcare Professionals.
